It’s bordered to the north by White Road and to the south by West Colonial Drive. Good Homes Road serves as its eastern border, and South Clarke Road is its western border.
While the eastern portion of the neighborhood is primarily residential, several businesses line its west side. West Orlando’s largest shopping arena, the West Oaks Mall, takes up most of its the western portion of the community. It has a children’s play area, a movie theater, business services, a community room, a notary public, wheelchair services, and safety escorts. It also has some of the most well known chain and independent shops and restaurants in the area, as well as a massive food court.
Rose Hill is also family-friendly, with several well-regarded schools nearby. Children can attend Frangus Elementary School, Citrus Elementary School, and Central Florida Christian Academy. Older students can attend Gotha Middle School, Pine Hills Charter School, and West Oaks Academy.
Educational opportunities in the area expand far beyond the classroom as well. The Winter Garden Heritage Museum, which celebrate the rich historical legacies of the community, is about five minutes to its west. The Central Florida Railroad Museum is about the same distance, and it offers a look at the extensive history of the railways in the southern portion of the state. The Orlando Museum of Art and Titanic: The Experience offer educational exhibits for families.
The Walt Disney World Resort, perhaps the most famous Orlando attraction, is eight miles east of Rose Hill. It includes the Magic Kingdom, Disney-Hollywood Studios, Epcot Center, the Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, and Pleasure Island. Also nearby are Universal Studios, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and the Holyland Experience.
