Lake Davis/Greenwood Neighborhood

The Lake Davis/Greenwood neighborhood in Orlando is part of Orange County. The mostly residential community provides relaxing lakes and parks for walking, fishing, jogging, and family outings. It also affords access to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando.

There are multiple lakes and parks in the vicinity. Three that allow fishing are the Lake Emerald, Lake Cherokee, and Lake Davis Park. The Greenwood Urban Wetlands is a quiet area far from the sounds of the city and ideal for jogging or picnicking. Adjoining the wetlands is the 82-acre, beautifully landscaped Greenwood Cemetery dating to 1880.

A major recreational venue is the Amway Center, which hosts concerts, performances, sporting events, and family-oriented entertainment.

The Orange County Regional History Center is nearby, and Church Street Marketplace and Curry Ford East Shopping Center are also convenient to the neighborhood.

The Orange County School System administers the educational needs of the community. Schools near Rowena Gardens include Lake Como Elementary School, Cherokee School, Workforce Advantage Academy Charter, and the University of Central Florida.

The closest hotel near Lake Davis/Greenwood is the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne. Further north are the Veranda Bed & Breakfast, Marriott Execustay-Orlando, Ventura Resort Rentals Orlando, and Embassy Suites Hotel Orlando-Downtown. Two airports serving the area are Herndon Airport and Orlando Executive Airport.
