This Orlando neighborhood is situated to the south of Carter Street, west of Willie Mays Parkway and north of Raleigh Street. New Malibu’s streets include Piedmont Court, Pleasant Valley Court, Cornelia Court, Raleigh Street, Broome Avenue, Cadogen Avenue, Cypress Street, Gore Street, and Piedmont Street.

Residents of the New Malibu neighborhood have access to numerous churches of various denominations in the area. Many of the churches provide an important role in community enrichment and a significant number of social programs. Some of the churches include Community Baptist Church, Tabernacle of the Enlightment, Zion Temple Fire Baptized, Church of God Washington Park, Apostolic Church of Christ, First Haitian Baptist Church, and Southside Church of Christ. There are around two dozen churches within a few miles.

New Malibu is also close to a great deal of recreation. To the southwest is Turkey Lake Park, one of the more popular parks in the area. The park is home to Turkey Lake, which is filled with alligators. This provides an excellent opportunity to get close to some of Florida’s native wildlife. The park also has a wide variety of other animals and plant life, making it incredibly scenic. Visitors to the large camping area can rent cabins, park recreational vehicles, or set up tents. A large playground, picnic area, and even a swimming pool are also available for New Malibu residents’ use.

Also near New Malibu is Valencia Community College’s west campus. The college is two miles away from the neighborhood. In addition to many educational opportunities, it also provides a number of community enrichment programs to residents throughout the area.
