Ventura Neighborhood

Ventura is a neighborhood in Orlando, Florida that is framed by Curry Ford Road to the north, South Goldenrod Road to the east, Pershing Avenue to the south, and Semoran Boulevard to the West. The neighborhood is home to Lake Roper and is situated just east of Lake Fredrica.

North of Ventura is La Costa Wetlands. This extremely popular wetland area is home to numerous native Florida species. Many nature lovers, birdwatchers, and photographers visit the wetlands hoping to see nature up close. Children love the wetlands because it is an excellent place to spot alligators, turtles, and large birds. The area also has a trail with several bridges, allowing residents to get up-close looks at the wildlife.

Off of La Costa Drive just north of the wetlands is the AMF Semoran Lanes bowling alley. This bowling alley is a popular place to relax and hang out with friends and family. The alley is also a popular destination for many teenagers looking for fun on the weekends. The bowling alley hosts numerous leagues and tournaments for a variety of age groups.

Part of the Ventura neighborhood itself is the Ventura Country Club. This large country club boasts a well-maintained golf course that is popular among golfers of all skill levels. The clubhouse offers a pro shop staffed knowledgeable employees who are more than willing to assist golfers with questions.

Ventura Country Club also offers a decent tennis program and several courts. These courts are generally used for practicing individual skills, league play, and tournaments. The club also provides both a swimming pool and a fitness center.
