It is located in the northeast portion of the city of Houston, just west of Jacinto City, with Galena Park to its southeast. Within six miles of the neighborhood, people living in the Pleasantville Area can go to the Shops at Houston Center, Houston Pavilions, Lawndale Shopping Center, and Gulfgate Shopping Center.

Medical attention can be found at Surgery Specialty Hospital. The Military Museum of Texas and the Railroad Museum of the Gulf Coast are attractions near the neighborhood.
