On the west side of Lake Parker in Lakeland, Florida, are various residential neighborhoods which includes Webster Park North. Although this is a fairly large community in terms of land size, Webster Park North is not overly populated. The neighborhood is situated just on the east side of Providence Road, with the majority of the residences located near the Maplecrest Street area and along Providence Road.
Between Webster Park North and Lake Parker are several other neighborhoods including Pinehurst and Tigertown. Residents are still less than two miles from the lake and the various recreational activities offered on this popular waterway. Northeast of the community is Lake Parker Park, where boat ramps are provided for lake access. Visitors to the park can also enjoy the athletic fields, playground equipment, picnic areas, walking paths, and designated areas for dog walking.
On the east side of the neighborhood is Simpson Park, where athletic fields, full-size basketball courts, and a playground are provided. A unique feature of this park is the community center, where local residents can utilize the weight rooms and the game and computer rooms. The Lakeland Library is located at the southeast corner of the park on North Florida Avenue.
Just a few miles to the north of Webster Park North are a variety of dining and shopping venues. Macy’s Lakeland Square Mall and Walmart Supercenter are both located on US Highway 98 North. This area surrounding the mall offers many dining choices including large chain restaurants, such as Olive Garden and Outback Steakhouse.
Approximately one mile to the northeast of the community is North Lakeland Elementary. Other schools in the vicinity include Sleepy Hill Middle to the northwest and Kathleen High School located a few miles to the southwest.
