With Central Houston’s vast array of entertainment, sports fans are not left out. Minute Maid Park regularly brings out fans of the Houston Astros, along with visiting baseball fans. The retractable roof and grass field gives these fans an open-air experience. This hadn’t been found in Houston for more than 35 years prior to the park’s construction. The railroad’s historic Union Station, built in 1911, brings many of these visitors through its doors and into Minute Maid Park.
