Coronado Hills Gastonwood Apartments for Rent

The majority of Coronado Hills/Gastonwood consists of green grass, parks, and several patches of trees. There are residential areas, but they are restricted to the perimeter of the neighborhood. This area spans two ZIP codes, 75218 and 75223. Interstate Highway 30 forms the southern border. Texas State Highway 78 is the western line of demarcation for Coronado Hills/Gastonwood.

The northwestern corner of the community is comprised of apartment complexes. The southwestern corner, along Ferguson and Highland Roads, contains one-story houses on short residential streets. This area is extremely pedestrian-friendly, as it’s not heavily developed.

The eastern part of the neighborhood is home to Warrior Field, the football field next to Lakehill Preparatory School. Warrior Field is home to the Dallas Lakehill football team. While Lakehill Preparatory is a private school, the community is in the Dallas Independent School District.

White Rock Lake is located to the northeast of the Coronado Hills/Gastonwood neighborhood. A creek branching from the southern part of the lake serves as the eastern border for the neighborhood. This creek is not officially used for swimming but makes for some great scenery while walking or running through the park.

Residents can take advantage of Tenison Golf Course in the southwestern corner of the community, near Samuell Park. This championship course was redesigned in 2001 by a PGA member D. A. Weibring. It has a full 18 holes and fits naturally into the terrain. The golf course sits next to several tennis courts within the Samuell Grand Family Tennis Center. With classes for kids as well as adults, this center also hosts amateur and serious tennis leagues for men and women.
