Woody Crest Apartments for Rent
Woody Crest has the feel of Tulsa’s glory days. The area has large homes on even larger lots, and the sense is aided by large green belt areas and mature trees. Woody Crest is one of the more affluent neighborhoods in Tulsa and is tucked away in a sizable area of older, historic homes. Although some of the structures are newer, many were built in the late 1930s to early 1940s.
The 1930s were good to Tulsa with the oil industry and the addition of the hub that brought all passenger train traffic to the city. Tulsa was not a depression or recession-proof area, but it did weather these difficult financial cycles and hardships better than most of the country.
Woody Crest is bordered on the north by 26th Street and to the south by 31st Street. The eastern border runs between Columbia Street and South Birmingham Avenue. The western border runs from South Birmingham Avenue turning east at 26th Street and turning again at South Lewis Avenue.
Woody Crest is near the Broken Arrow Expressway (Highway 51) making Downtown Tulsa and the surrounding areas very accessible. Driving west on 31st Street, the Arkansas River is only a short drive away. Access to the major shopping is on 31st Street at the Ranch Acres Shopping Center and surrounding businesses. For recreation or a little friendly competition, the Tulsa Tennis Club is just a few blocks away.
Woody Crest is a charming neighborhood where the history is still visible. The residents of Woody Crest are close to everything Tulsa has to offer, while still holding onto the glory of times past.
