Lewis Crest Neighborhood

The Lewis Crest neighborhood is located in southern Tulsa, Oklahoma, about eight miles from the downtown area and roughly two miles east of the Arkansas River. This conveniently located community is bounded by East 51st Street on the north and South Lewis Avenue on the west. On the south, the community extends to include the homes south of East 57th Street, and the community’s meandering eastern boundary is roughly created by a small creek that runs through the area. State Highway 66 and Interstate 44 run past the neighborhood on the north.

Lewis Crest is part of Tulsa County, in the 74105 zip code. Among the area communities are Harvard Park Village, South Creekside, and South Bolewood.

This primarily residential community consists mostly of single-family homes, but a few commercial interests can be found throughout, especially along the neighborhood’s bounding roadways. The northwest corner of the community hosts the Fikes Shopping Center, the Woodland Village Shopping Center, and adjacent Country Club Plaza are situated just outside of neighborhood bounds on the northeast.

For outdoor recreation, residents of Lewis Crest have a variety of options close to home. Manion Park borders the community on the east and offers walking trails, four tennis courts, a basketball court, playground equipment, and open green space for other sports and activities. Lafortune County Park is situated a few minutes east of the community, adjacent to Memorial High School. Among the many amenities offered at this large county park are 21 lighted tennis courts and two 18-hole public golf courses. This large park also offers athletic fields and a jogging/biking trail.

For those who prefer a more exclusive golfing experience, the Southern Hills County Club is located just south of the Lewis Crest neighborhood. This premier country club offers a beautiful championship course that has hosted four PGA Championships and three U.S. Open Championships.
