The Pearl District lies on the eastern edge of downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is bordered on the north by Interstate 244, on the west by Interstate 75, on the east by Utica Avenue and on the south by 11th Street (the Historic Route 66). It is a neighborhood in the process of a reclamation of sorts. Part residential, part business and part warehousing, the Pearl District is growing into an area where its residents can live and be able to walk back and forth to work and to churches, restaurants, and shopping areas.

The atmosphere in and around Pearl District is better than that of many other typical urban communities. The homes in the Pearl District are older one- and two-story dwellings on well-kept lots. Many of the streets are tree lined for a shady, nostalgic environment in the neighborhood. There are also some newer structures in the form of apartment buildings that dot the area.

Schools nearby to the Pearl District include Kendall Whittier Elementary School, Wilson Middle School, and Carver Middle School. Also nearby and to the east are the Tulsa Welding School and the campus of the University of Tulsa.

El Rancho Grande and the Rubicon Restaurant are just a couple of the enticing places to eat in the district.

Places for movie-lovers to catch a first-run flick nearby include Circle Cinema, Starworld 20 Theatre, AMC Theatres – Southroads 20, and the Admiral Twin Drive-In.

Not far to the east from Route 75 is the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. The four theaters that make up this complex host Broadway productions, dance and comedy shows, opera, ballet, and other special events.
