Water Park Apartments for Rent
The Water Park neighborhood is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a nice quiet neighborhood with many well-funded parks nearby. These parks enhance the overall aesthetics of the community and give children and families a place to gather. In addition to being quite family friendly, the area is near a wide number of attractions and historic places within Minneapolis.
One of the most important attractions in the Water Park area is the University of Minnesota. The school itself was founded in 1851 as a preparatory school before Minnesota was even a state. Although the school closed during the Civil War due to financial complications, it has rebounded to become a major icon in Minnesota for education and sports. Residents throughout the area support the Golden Gophers on game day by waving flags, painting their faces, and flocking to the many sports bars throughout the town.
Along the west of the neighborhood is the Mississippi River. This incredibly important river was originally used for transporting most of the goods through the area and played a major role in logging industry with loggers sending trees down the river for processing. Now, the river is a major source of recreation, with residents using it for fishing and boating. There are also a number of tours available that highlight the history of the region. For more history of the area, the Mill City Museum a few miles to the southwest is a great spot to learn about the history of the region, the Mississippi River, and more.
Ask anyone about Water Park and they’ll tell you about Jim Lupient Park. This somewhat modest park is one of the best places to take children in Minneapolis on a warm day. The park has several slides, a play area, and swimming pools.
