St Anthony Neighborhood

The city of St. Anthony, simply called “The Village” by locals, is nestled between the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. St. Anthony is located about five miles northeast of Minneapolis and about eight miles northwest of St. Paul. Its boundary on the north is County Road E, on the west is Stinson Boulevard, on the east is Highcrest Road, and on the south is Walnut Street. Silver Lake Road runs north and south through the center of the community. The community has easy access to I-35W as well as I-694.

St. Anthony is a great place to raise a family. The community is virtually crime-free. There are plenty of parks and recreation here. The community has a small town feel while close to city life.

St. Anthony education options are outstanding, with a Great Schools city rating of 9 out of 10. Schools that students attend are Wilshire Park Elementary, St. Anthony Middle, and St. Anthony Village Senior High. St. Anthony is near the University of Minnesota campus.

There are numerous parks, including Silver Lake, Silver Oaks, Emerald, Central School, Silver Point, and Trillum Parks. These parks offer playgrounds, ball fields, and play space for every age.

Silver Lake, one of the metro’s most beautiful smaller lakes is located here. Silver Lake offers fishing, swimming, boating, and other water recreational activities.

Gross Golf Course is in the southeast portion of the community. Residents describe this public course as challenging, having a great layout, and being well-maintained. It is one of the most popular around.

Shopping is plentiful here. Besides the renowned Mall of America just a short distance away, there is also Southdale Mall, a popular destination and only about twenty minutes away. The nearby St. Anthony Shopping Center was the first strip mall in Minnesota. Today, this shopping center offers convenient one-stop shopping for residents.
