Seward Neighborhood
The neighborhood of Seward is located in Minneapolis, Minn., and has a large variety of houses within it. Seward is very close to downtown Minneapolis, making it easy for people within the neighborhood to enjoy the many different activities nearby without living right in the heart of the city. Seward also has plenty of parks in and around it.
The shopping and the dining in the area are mainly focused along Franklin Avenue and Minnehaha Avenue. These streets contain many different small-name places for shopping and eating. For more shopping and dining options, residents of the Seward neighborhood generally go north into the downtown area or south to the Mall of America.
Seward is close to both the University of Minnesota and North Central University. Being close to a university has many different benefits, including the ability to be able to take a class or two for fun or to enroll in a few classes to expand your education. It also allows the residents of Seward to easily be able to watch college football games. Seward is a great neighborhood for students that want to live off campus but still be pretty close to their university.
Plenty of parks are located in and around the neighborhood that make for great places for the residents of Seward to take a break and relax. Matthews Park is a great park for people to take a walk or have a picnic, as it has a lot of open space. It has places to play sports, like the tennis courts or basketball courts. Matthews Park is unique because it also has an ice rink during the winter months. Riverside Park is another nice park in the area that has many different amenities. It has basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts for adult, as well as a playground for children.
