Kenny could be considered within cycling distance of these popular area attractions, but if you prefer to drive, both lakes offer pay parking lots. You can also rent bikes, kayaks, and canoes.

Schools in the neighborhood include Kenny Elementary School, located at 5720 Emerson Avenue South. Kowalski’s market is located along the community’s eastern boundary, as is the Washburn Public Library, at 5244 Lyndale Avenue South. You won’t find a great deal of dining, shopping, or entertainment options in the immediate area, but the several major roadways that converge at the neighborhood’s southeastern corner provide easy access to the rest of the city.
