Interior roads include Fox Chapel Road and Cypresswood Circle.
The neighborhood embraces Pebble Creek Golf Club. This elegant facility has the feel and amenities of a private club, but is actually an affordable public course. With abundant water, it attracts wildlife as well as golfers. Alligators and sand-hill cranes are frequent visitors.
Despite the rural atmosphere, the neighborhood is conveniently located. A Wal-Mart Supercenter is a short drive away on County Road 581, with other amenities such as a fitness center and restaurants nearby. A bit farther north along 581 is a larger retail center, anchored by Marshalls and Target.
Natural areas and recreational facilities are very close to Pebble Creek Village. One is Lettuce Lake Regional Park. Within its 240 acres, the park offers a fitness course, picnic facilities, jogging trails and access to the Hillsborough River. A boardwalk leads to a cypress swamp where there is good wildlife viewing. The gardens of the University of South Florida Tampa are open to the public and only seven miles away.
A larger facility is the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park, which has camping facilities, an equestrian trail, nature trails and picnic facilities. A Gulf of Mexico favorite is Anclote Key Preserve State Park. The island is only accessible by boat and only primitive camping facilities are provided. It’s prime viewing for wildlife and has a lighthouse that dates to 1887.
Local festivals in the Pebble Creek Village area include Florida State Fair and the Strawberry Festival in Plant City.
