Lacera Apartments for Rent
Surrounded by lakes on most every side, Lacera is one of the wettest neighborhoods in the Carrollwood area. With Lake Carroll to the north, Boot Lake on the east, White Trout Lake on the west, and Twin Lake to the south, Lacera definitely isn’t short of water or scenery.
Surprisingly, even with all of the water that surrounds Lacera, many of the residents who aren’t located directly on the water don’t really have access to the lakes, as the majority of the lake frontage is privately held. However, White Sands Beach on Lake Carroll does have access located just off of Carrollwood Drive. By following the road until it gets to the water, you’ll find a small parking lot for only about two dozen vehicles. Just off of the lot are two large docks that go well into the water for anglers hoping to take advantage of area fishing. Next to the lower dock is a boat launch. The rest of the waterfront area is filled in with white sand which is how the beach got its name.
To the west of the neighborhood by about a mile is Orange Grove Drive where you can find one of the closest area parks. The park is located diagonally from Carrollwood Elementary School and directly behind Buca Di Beppo and Red Lobster, which face Dale Mabry Highway on the other side. Carrollwood Park is an ideal destination for parents with active, energy-filled children. At the park there is a large sand playground, a baseball field, and several tennis courts. The park also has open fields that are used for flying kites and tossing frisbees, as well as for socializing dogs. Trails go throughout the park, making it a short distance for walkers and runners who prefer to stay off busy streets.
