Belmar Shore is bound by West Spring Lake Drive, Southwest Shore Boulevard, West Euclid Avenue, and South Beech Drive. Public transit stops are close by along West Euclid Drive. Neighborhood conveniences include restaurants, a fitness center, and Hillsborough County Library.
A few miles north along Southwest Shore Boulevard are several large retail centers, including West Shore Plaza. This mall is anchored by Macy’s and has an AMC Theatre complex. Nearby is Town Square Center, with specialty stores and restaurants. Tampa International Airport is not far from these busy retail centers.
Fans of professional sports will be delighted to know that Raymond James Stadium is less than five miles away. This is where the Tampa Buccaneers play. The stadium is just east of Tampa International Airport. Drive a short distance to the St. Pete Times Forum and take in a Tampa Lightning professional hockey game. And of course, baseball fans will recognize George M. Steinbrenner Field as the spring training home of the New York Yankees.
The University of Tampa is less than a 15-minute drive. UT serves about 6,500 students in undergraduate and some graduate programs. Hillsborough Community College is about nine miles away, near Historic Ybor City. The University of South Florida Tampa Campus is 17 miles from Belmar.
The area is blessed with many parks and recreational areas. One of the best may be the Brooker Creek Reserve, about 10 miles away. The 8,500-acre park has trails through sensitive ecosystems and is home to an extensive educational and research area. A bit closer to home is the Tampa Zoo, only five miles from Belmar.
