Tampa is situated on the west coast of Florida. It is home to beautiful weather, tourist attractions, and a downtown area that combines both old and new. Located in Hillsborough County, Tampa is located about an hour from Disney World and other theme parks.
Stroll along the Downtown Tampa Historical Trail and admire the sites. Or, take in an event at the sleek, modern Tampa Convention Center, built on the historical site of Fort Brooke. Ybor City, a National Historic Landmark District, was founded in 1880 by cigar manufacturers. Today it is a popular nightlife destination. The Port of Tampa is Florida’s largest port. As an international shipping port, it is an economic hub for the area. The port is also used by many cruise ships, freighters, charter boats, and sailboats.
