Casa Linda Casa View Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Located on the southeast side of White Rock Lake, the neighborhoods that comprise the Casa Linda/Casa View community are highly sought after for their beautiful homes, mature trees, close-knit community, and proximity to downtown Dallas and other area landmarks.
The general boundaries of the Casa Linda/Casa View area include Garland Road on the north, Buckner Boulevard on the west, La Prada Road on the south, and Interstate 635 on the east. Many of the neighborhoods, however, like Casa Linda Estates, extend into surrounding neighborhoods.
With Interstate 30 a few miles south of the area access to downtown Dallas is only minutes away.
While other nearby neighborhoods may be transitional, Casa Linda and Casa View are well-maintained, stable and have a low crime rate. Several strong neighborhood associations keep homeowners in touch and active in the community. Homes in Casa Linda and Casa View date to the 1940s and 1950s and are largely ranch-style brick and cottage-style homes.
White Rock Lake, a tree-lined lake with views of the Dallas skyline, is less than a mile away and offers hiking and biking trails as well as fishing spots. The Dallas Arboretum, a 66 acre botanical garden at the intersection of Garland Road and Lakeland Drive, is located on the southeast shores of White Rock Lake and is a popular place for tourists and residents. A number of small city parks are located throughout the neighborhood.
Dining and shopping, including a number of grocery stores, are plentiful in the area, especially along Garland Road. Town East Mall is a major retail center located just southeast of the area near the intersection of Interstate 635 and Interstate 30.
Eastfield Community College, part of the Dallas Community College system and Bishop Lynch, a private Catholic school, are located near the intersection of Buckner and Ferguson.
