Trinity Circle is a neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. The neighborhood is located off of Trinity Road to the north of Chapel Hill Road and west of Interstate 40. The area is heavily wooded with trees covering most of the streets in the area and heavy forest on the outskirts.
South of Trinity Circle is the Wake Med Soccer Park. The park features seven soccer fields that are used by a number of different teams throughout the area. The park is currently the home of the Carolina Rail Hawks, a semi-professional soccer team. North Carolina State University teams also take advantage of the well-maintained fields for practice and games.
Two miles to the east of Trinity Circle is the RBC Center, located off of RBC Center Road. The RBC Center is home to the professional hockey team, the Carolina Hurricanes. The RBC Center also hosts the North Carolina State University Wolf Pack basketball team. It is one of the largest arenas in NCAA basketball. This massive venue is also one of the most popular in the area for big-time musical performances, a variety of different shows, and other large events.
Across from the RBC Center off of RBC Center Road, is Carter Finley Stadium. This large stadium is the home of the North Carolina State University Wolfpack football team. During the football season, the stadium is packed with the many area college football fans and university students.
One of the biggest annual events in the Raleigh area is held at the Raleigh State Fairgrounds which can be found off of Hillsborough Street. The fairgrounds are hosted by the Department of Agriculture and feature livestock and agricultural events, as well as a fair and numerous shows that are held at Dorton Arena, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
