Townedge Place Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Townedge Place is a one-street neighborhood in northwest Raleigh. Consisting solely of the dozen or so homes on Townedge Court, the Townedge Place community is as compact as they come.
The community of Townedge Place straddles the outer edge of the Cliff Benson Beltline, just outside of Interstate 440, making it the ideal place for any who like to easily travel around the beltline on the northwest end.
A few Townedge Place residents spend their off time at the nearby Carolina Country Club, a great place to relax and take a step back from life. Others prefer the outdoorsy William B. Umstead State Park, along with its interior Reedy Creek Lake. This large parkland area has many great activities available, including campground sites suitable for all types of rural activity.
Also quite nearby is the Raleigh Durham International Airport, serving the city and bordering communities. While Townedge Place is too small to claim more airport usage than surrounding communities, it should be noted that the one-street neighborhood of Townedge Place has actually made local Raleigh television news more than a few times for its vociferous defense of Raleigh Durham International Airport workers over the years. This may be because some of the leaders of the local airport workers’ union live in Townedge Place.
Shopping in Townedge Place is quite active, though the inner boundaries of the neighborhood are entirely residential. Crabtree Valley Mall is almost within walking distance and serves the needs of Townedge Place residents for most commercial shopping needs. The proximity to Interstate 440 also allows easy access to almost every other mall in the greater Raleigh region, including Cameron Village, Oak Park, and Quail Corners.
