Attractions here are plentiful. The Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts is a remarkable venue for theater, opera, and ballet. Lincoln Theater hosts concerts and local bands and is a popular hangout for the younger crowd. Marbles Kids Museum will keep little ones entertained with a hands-on philosophy inspiring learning, imagination, and adventure.

Chavis Park, the area’s largest park, offers plenty of greenspace for enjoying nature. The park features nice walking paths, a community center with basketball courts, and other indoor sports areas, as well as a large locker room. This park features a working, historic carousel built in 1937. Children can take a ride for only one dollar, any day of the week, from sunrise to sunset.
