Nestled among tall pines and sturdy oaks, you will find the houses of Skycrest Village. The lush green community has a variety of traditionally styled, mid-sized, single-family homes. There are plenty of patches of tall pines and many lush green areas great for walking the dog. Due to the Raleigh area’s rising popularity, some of the single-family homes have been converted into rental units. With the exception of homes located on Skycrest Drive, most of the properties are well off the beaten path, allowing residents to enjoy a country lifestyle while still enjoying the advantages of living in North Carolina’s capital city.

As more neighborhoods have grown and developed around Skycrest Village, more eastern Raleigh residents have used Skycrest Drive as a handy shortcut to work, school and many other Raleigh destinations. And with good reason; Skycrest Drive provides a direct shot to a major intersection connecting to the Raleigh Beltline, Highway 401 and Interstate 40. Via Skycrest Drive and only a few other major thoroughfares, residents can quickly arrive at a variety of destinations. WakeMed Health and Hospitals complex on New Bern Avenue is very close.

Both Capital Boulevard and New Bern Avenue lead to beautiful downtown Raleigh. Saint Augustines College and North Carolina State University are both a short drive away. Music lovers will want to check out the nearby Time Warner Cable Pavilion. The Pavilion features all kinds of concerts during the warmer months. Only a short drive to the east is Marsh Creek Park. The beautiful natural wooded park is also home to a very popular skate park, which attracts skate boarders from near and far. The Marsh Creek Community Center and playground are the most recent additions to the park grounds.
