Oberlin Village stretches across a vast portion of Oberlin Road. Not only is this neighborhood massive, but it has a diverse population and varied housing. Throughout the community, hardwood trees soar to amazing heights, and hills roll and dip into valleys that gather the people of this district into various entertainment venues, restaurants, historical landmarks, and make-merry assemblies.

Living quarters in this region range from two-story Victorians to ranch-style beauties. Lots are large and sprawling, with hilltop and valley views only lush country provides. In its suburban setting, this neighborhood is close to major highways, glamorous events, casual gatherings, and shopping plazas.

Restaurants and taverns line local Hillsborough Street, which is the main drag at North Carolina State University. NCSU is the proud supporter of the Wolfpack college basketball team. In this same locality, the University Bell Tower has its foundation. This is a thoughtful memorial to World War I veteran alumni. Historical locations, Five Points, St. Augustine’s College, and Meredith College are all adjacent to this area.

Isabella Cannon Park is a lovely park that is named after Raleigh’s only female mayor. It has restrooms, picnic tables, a ball field, basketball court, grills, and a toddler lot.

Pullen Park, also perfectly situated nearby, is an attractive walking and family park. Highlights in this park are the carousel, the train, and the kiddie boats. Night concerts are favorites at Pullen Park.

The Raleigh Little Theatre entertains Oberlin Village residents with fine performances and major events. This established theater has been operating since 1936.

Olds Elementary school is appreciated by parents who enjoy walking children to school. Needham Broughton High School serves the public school educational needs of teenagers in the area. After-school activities in this district are superb, with several campus ministries situated less than a mile away.

Oberlin Village is convenient to highway 54 and the Raleigh Beltline, Interstate 440.
