Meredith View Apartments for Rent
Meredith View sits in the lush, natural area of the Dixie Trail and Wade Avenue pocket. Tall, slender pines and hefty oaks embellish the areas around common housing. In spots, overgrowth of plants is evident. Thick ivy and plants native to North Carolina fill in once-empty gaps.
The entire district of Meredith View encompasses Oberry Street. There are multi-family homes, as well as single-family residences. In some areas stand small, one-story, cottage-style homes, while at other points, the dwellings are duplex. Many houses are constructed of brick, while others are concrete and stone or have vinyl siding.
Front lawns are generally small but may include adequate parking. Back lawns are larger, and some have walking paths trailing through natural foliage. Large bushes and plants, like hydrangeas, cloak the houses like blankets. A few residents live in wooded areas off of natural paths.
This quiet, quaint neighborhood is close to apartment buildings, churches, and universities, and makes an excellent living area for college students.
One of the great historical landmarks is Meredith College. This exclusively female college offers home-grown trails, perfected greenways, and college sports. NC State University and St. Augustine’s College in this area offer many opportunities for students and the general public.
Along the Hillsborough Street side of two of the colleges are dining and drinking establishments. Residents can enjoy coffee, Sushi, family meals, Mediterranean cuisine, or even edible art, not to mention a social beverage.
For eco-friendly commuters, Amtrak of Raleigh, the local and interstate train service, is an average walk away. The Capital Area Transit System (CAT) is also close by.
Museums, walking trails, and amusement parks are abundant. The NC Museum of Art, the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM), the JC Raulston Arboretum, and the Museums of History and Natural Sciences are present.
For college life, history, and more, Meredith View should not be overlooked.
