The club also offers an aquatic center and dining options.

The Wakemed Hospital – Raleigh Campus is located just northeast of the country club, constituting a convenient health care option for Maplewood Forest residents.

Roughly 11 miles northeast of this community, easily accessible via Rose Lane and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, is downtown Raleigh. Among the attractions here are several popular city parks and higher education options, the latter of which include Shaw University and North Carolina State University. The downtown area is also known for its unique shopping and dining options. Cultural attractions here include the Museum of Natural Sciences, state capitol building and Marbles Kids Museum.
