Hialeah Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Located southeast of downtown Raleigh, the mixed-use community of Hialeah is three big blocks long and two even bigger blocks wide. A few of the homes date back to the early 1940s. This is a heavily-wooded rural area.
The woodlands extend south until they reach the neighboring Pine Hollow Golf Course, established in 1968. It is a member’s course but guests are welcome to try out the greens. Most of the area east of Hialeah is commercial, housing everything from the local Fire Department to a giant Hawley’s Camping Center. The entrance to Hialeah is off of East Garner Road, which leads north to Interstate 40 or south to the town of Clayton.
Mount Mariah Baptist Church is one block away from Hialeah. The closest schools are in Clayton. This nearby town also has the most convenient shops including the locally owned Las Carolinas Grocery & Grill on Guy Road. Follow Route 70 in either direction for an assortment of eateries and to find Clayton Corners and the White Oak Shopping Centers. Lake Benson, a popular fishing and camping park is four miles southwest. Leashed dogs are allowed.
