Guard Hill is a tiny neighborhood located just off of East Millbrook Road to the south in Raleigh, North Carolina. The neighborhood is framed by Millbrook Road to the north, Edgewood Road to the west, Stonehill Drive to the south, and Sweetbriar Street to the east. Guard Hill is absolutely tiny and consists of only a handful of homes currently.

Guard Hill is heavily residential, with many layers of homes between it and the major areas of commerce in Raleigh. There are also a number of trees throughout the entire community providing excellent cover and scenery for residents.

For movie lovers a great destination is about a mile to the west off of Six Forks Road just south of Millbrokk Road. This is where Colony Theatres is located. Colony Theatres is a small movie theater that shows only a small number of films, but they are known for showing lesser known independent films as well as the big budget blockbusters.

If great food is important, Falls of Neuse Road has numerous dining options representing a wide number of flavors from around the world. Some of the most popular of the restaurants include Amedeo’s North Italian, Carolina Sushi and Roll, Michael Dean’s Seafood Grill, St Jacque’s French Cuisine, Cafe Tiramisu, and many others. Many of the restaurants provide incredible signature dishes that aren’t found anywhere else.

Also along the Falls of Neuse Road are a number of retail establishments, medical offices, and other businesses. This is the general business district of the immediate area and where many residents in the surrounding neighborhoods travel to receive medical care, find great dining, and of course do a little bit of shopping while they are out. The area shopping centers are made to blend with the community.
