The neighborhood of Eagle Creek is southwest of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. It is a small, but beautiful area with tall, mature shade trees that line the streets. The homes here vary in size and style and the neighborhood is generally quiet.

Schools near Eagle Creek include Dillard Drive Middle School, Athens Drive High School, Combs Elementary School and Grace Christian School. The campus of North Carolina State University is a few miles to the northeast. NC State is globally recognized for its mathematics, science, technology, and engineering programs.

The Ole Time Barbeque Restaurant is a classic Southern barbeque joint. It is small, with only a few booths and tables, but the restaurant has developed a very loyal following around Raleigh, and is a can’t-miss destination for visitors who want to experience the taste of the South.

Lake Wheeler offers some of the finest fishing in the area, as well as opportunities for boating and water skiing. Johnboats and canoes can be rented.

One of the more interesting, and certainly unusual ways to tour the Raleigh area would be to take a Triangle Segway tour. Before the tour, complete training on how to use the machines is given.

The RBC Center is a 21,000 seat arena that plays host to the NHL Carolina Hurricanes and North Carolina State Wolfpack basketball. It is also the place for concerts and other special events throughout the year. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is the largest history of its kind in the Southeast. This family-friendly museum offers four floors of exhibits and live animals. Their “Mountains to the Sea” exhibit includes a 20-foot waterfall.
