Spring Park Neighborhood

Spring Park is situated a few miles south of downtown Jacksonville, Florida. This neighborhood has palm trees, red oak trees, and beautifully groomed yards. This is predominately a residential neighborhood.

Spring Park is less than 20 minutes from Evans Bank Field, where the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team plays. This is an extremely popular activity during the football season. You will find the parking lot full of tailgaters and fans every Sunday game day.

To the west of this community is Fec Park. This is a small park, but it does have nice places to relax and enjoy an afternoon. Fec Park also has small playground equipment and a baseball field. A little farther to the west is Marco Lake; this is a small lake that feeds into the ocean inlet. Marco Lake is a decent-sized lake for small watercraft and fishing. River Oaks Park is another place in this area that residents will frequent when they’re looking for a place to spend an afternoon. This park has a small creek running through it that filters into the salt water. River Oaks also has walking and biking trails winding along the creek. Within this park, you will find picnic areas, playground equipment for the kids, and plenty of wildlife to watch.

Northwest of Spring Park is the Museum of Science and History. This museum is a great spot for kids and adults alike. This museum will provide knowledge many people may have never guessed even existed! This is an extremely popular spot for field trips for the kids from Spring Park School District.
