Hillcrest Neighborhood

Hillcrest is a fairly large neighborhood in Jacksonville, FL. Hillcrest is located southwest of Jacksonville and not far from the Atlantic Ocean.

There are several parks within walking and biking distance from Hillcrest. The closest one is Criswell Park. This park is small, but still has some nice features. Residents will find a baseball field, picnic tables, and playground equipment for the kids. Merritt Park is another small park close by. This park has baseball and soccer fields, it also has playground structures for younger park patrons. The largest of the parks is John D. Liverman Park; this park has many more amenities. John D. Liverman has walking and biking trails, a small nature preserve, picnic areas, and relaxing scenery to take in. Some of the other smaller parks in the area are Fishweir Park, Boone Park, and Arques Park. All of these remaining parks are close and have many features that would help a resident enjoy an afternoon to relax.

Hillcrest is situated near Interstate 10, making it convenient to get to downtown Jacksonville. There are a lot of things to do in the downtown area. One of the most popular things to do in the fall and winter months is to go to an NFL football game. The Jacksonville Jaguars franchise plays here every Sunday during their season. Downtown also has theaters, steakhouses, seafood restaurants, and several nightclubs to satisfy the residents craving.

If the locals are looking for a way to cool off in the hot summer months, they can drive over to Jacksonville Beach. This beach will present them with so much to do and fill their entire Saturday with entertainment.
