Woodglen Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Spawning off of Village Parkway, the Woodglen neighborhood is a well situated community with Highway 151 and Interstate 410 nearby. Largely a cul-de-sac community, the area is multi-purpose with some townhouse-like structures and some magnificent residences. Small, neat front lawns are low maintenance, while low shrubbery and decorative trees fill in landscaped areas. Adding to the appeal of this comfortable, middle-class vicinity are the hilltop dwellings that appear to look out and down toward a slightly sloping street. Houses are constructed of brick, vinyl-siding, and have two-car attached garages.
Cyclists love the vicinity with thoroughfare Farm to Market 3487 Road providing a maintained bike route. Walkers love the paved sidewalks and the lovely landscaped areas.
Active residents enjoy Northwest Little League Senior Park. Children and parents alike are happy with this Little League facility. Exercise, outdoor fun, and community sports make the Woodglen district a desirable area in which to live, work, and play.
Sea World of San Antonio is 2.3 miles away. Sea World is a major amusement and theme park that has Orca whales, sea lions, and water parks. Another close theme park is Meme’s Moonwalk and Castle Bounce. This is an excellent activity for younger, energetic children to help work off some of that excess energy and, even more importantly, give them a good start on strong, healthy bodies.
Education in the area is more than acceptable. Preschools, public schools, and private education facilities are easily accessible and readily available. Myers Elementary School and Village Parkway Christian School are in the immediate vicinity.
A prominent subdivision adjacent to Woodglen is Westover Elms.
Shopping is exciting with the Alamo Ranch nearby. From edible arrangements to fashion, the Alamo Ranch offers a diverse selection of retail stores, products and shopping experiences. Ingram Park Mall is even closer.
