Valencia is a neighborhood in San Antonio. There are about 700 homes in this community. The borders of the neighborhood are Nacogdoches Road on the north, El Sendero Street on the west, Las Campanas Street on the south, and O’Connor Road on the east. Valencia is located northeast of downtown San Antonio and is accessible to that area via the Austin Highway, which is just east of the neighborhood.

Valencia has an active voluntary homeowners’ association. It sponsors several community events each year. The Orange Blossom newsletter keeps residents up to date on events in the neighborhood. The Valencia Club House is located on El Sendero Street. This is where most of the neighborhood meetings take place. There are also two tennis courts for members at the club house, which also offers meeting rooms for rent.

Whispering Hills, located on O’Connor Street, is an apartment complex in the Valencia neighborhood. This is an exceptional property awarded the Property of Year in 2009. The complex has well-landscaped grounds, two swimming pools, laundry facilities, and even a business center. The apartments are spacious and offer a variety of choices from one-bedroom, one-bath units to three-bedroom, two-bath townhouses.

Valencia is an attractive residential neighborhood. Most of the homes were built in the 1970s. The community has residences with a variety of architectural styles, including both ranch homes and two-story colonials. Most of the homes have three or four bedrooms and two baths. The yards are quite spacious, and there are lots of trees and some sidewalks.

Carls Jr., McDonald’s, Game Stop, In Town Suites Extended Stay, and Blockbuster Video are all located on Nacogdoches Road. Public bus service is available on the major roads.
