The Overlook Apartments for Rent

The Overlook is a beautiful wooded community northeast of San Antonio near Camp Bullis. Camp Bullis is a training camp that was established in 1917 for the U.S. Army.

The neighboring communities are Summerglen, the Heights at Stone Oak, and Cavalo Creek Estates. The main roads or streets intersecting with The Overlook are Hardy Oak Boulevard, Wilderness Oak, and Edge Water. There is only one main entrance to the community, Anahauac Avenue on Wilderness Oak.

Stone Oak Park and Panther Spring Park are five minutes from the community and offer backpacking, hiking, mountain bike trails, horseback riding and fresh-water fishing. Stone Oak Park and Panther Spring Park also have nature trails and rock climbing. Both parks are wheelchair-accessible. For Overlook residents who love picnics and children’s activities, these parks are the best in the area and also provide nearby lodging.

Residents of The Overlook can also enjoy family dining at Sorrento Ristorante for a touch of Italian cuisine, Aguas Calientes Taqueria for a Mexican fiesta, and Mo’s Southwest Grill for a more casual dining experience.

Children in the neighborhood might attend Hardy Oak Elementary, Jackson Middle School, or Marshall High School. This high school is one of the largest in the area, with 2,500 students and 170 teachers. Marshall has a student-teacher ratio around 15 and offers its students many options when it comes to extracurricular activities.
