Redland Estates Neighborhood

The neighborhood of Redland Estates follows Highway 1604 Loop E along its south side. San Pedro Avenue runs along the west side. Redland Estates contains the popular neighborhoods Canyon View and Gold Canyon. This part of San Antonio has an abundance of leisure activities to include Kenwood Park, the Olmos Basin Golf Course, the San Antonio Zoo, along with the Brackenridge Park Municipal Golf Course, Fort Sam Houston and the San Antonio Country Club.

The Ice and Golf Centers at Northwoods and Regal Cinemas are nearby. The Ice Center holds holiday hockey camps and public skating programs for figure skaters. The Golf Center offers mini-golf. Local residents also love to hold birthday parties there.

Scentchips Artisans Alley is well situated in this area for the eclectic shopper. This mall has unique stores for the curious consumer. The Greenhouse Mall and the Vineyard Shopping Center are also close to the Gold Canyon neighborhood. Two major health care facilities are near the community: the Spine Hospital of South Texas and the Methodist Stone Oak Hospital.

For the pet owner and walker, Gold Canyon Park and Oakhaven Park are in the area. Oakhaven features basketball courts and walking trails. Redland Estates residents enjoy taking advantage of the Club at Sonterra golf course. The community also claims a resident mariachi band known as the Mariachi Nuevo Jalisco.
