Preston Hollow is an elongated community that runs from north to south and is to the north of downtown San Antonio, Texas. Most of the homes are fairly modern and average 2,400 sq. feet in size. The current list price of homes in this community averages around $200K.

There are only a few schools in the immediate area, but there are some specialty schools of note. One is the Kumon Math and Reading Center and another is the Sunin Clay Studio.

Restaurants in the area include Frida’s Mexican and Latin Cuisine and Jack’s Patio Bar. Hotels nearby include Microtel Inns and Suites and Homestead Studio Suites. Both of these hotels are near to the San Antonio International Airport which is also nearby to the community.

Nearby McAllister Park is the place to go for relaxation and is located near the airport. Golf courses nearby include Northern Hills Country Club and the Blossom Golf Center. A really unique place for hiking and biking is the San Antonio Hike and Bike, which is an eight mile winding trail along the San Antonio River. If you are a basketball fan, the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs play at the AT&T Center.

In the downtown area of San Antonio, just to the east of the San Antonio River, is the only building still standing from the 1836 siege of the Alamo – the Alamo Church. It has been restored and functions now as a museum, but walking tours that outline the original compound are available.

San Antonio’s River Walk combines modern and Spanish architecture and connects theatres, museums, restaurants and hotels along the San Antonio River. It is a major tourist attraction.
