North Central neighborhood in San Antonio is a densely developed area of San Antonio with several parks, high-end restaurants and residential pockets. Vance Jackson Road and West Avenue are major roads that run through the neighborhood and contain most of the commercial development in the area.

The North Central neighborhood is located in the northern part of San Antonio in the 78213 zip code near Interstate Highway 10 and Interstate Highway 410. These major highways act as the northern and western boundaries of the neighborhood and make this area easy to access. Highway 10 also curves to make part of the southern border of the North Central neighborhood. The eastern boundary is the gently curving Neer Avenue. Just to the south of the area is North Angeles Heights.

Though located in the North East Independent School District, the Discovery School and St. Gregory the Great School offer alternatives to the public school system.

Major commercial establishments within the area include Crossroads Mall. Restaurants in the area range from the upscale La Fogada Mexican restaurant to the casual dining experience of Bill Miller Barbecue. There are also other restaurants like Dairy Queen and stores including the Salvation Army. The major roads are also scattered with car repair shops and food stands.

Houses in the area are modest, densely packed and Spanish or ranch style in architecture. There are apartment complexes sprinkled throughout offering more temporary housing for residents. Green spaces within the North Central boundaries include Dellview Park, Olympia Park and Windsor Park. These parks, though smaller, offer visitors pavilions, soccer facilities, basketball courts and baseball fields. The inside parts of the neighborhood are pedestrian friendly and the area is accessible by the Via Metropolitan Transportation system.
