The major attraction in this location is the Phil Hardberger Park. Developed by the city, the park was officially opened in May 2010 and offers dog parks, skate parks and a botanical garden. Shuttles allow pedestrians access to various points of interest around the park, or visitors can ride bicycles or walk along paved or unpaved trails. Barshop Jewish Community Center sits in the northwestern corner of the park and offers visitors access to tennis courts, swimming pools and other sports facilities.

North Castle Hills is located in the northern part of San Antonio, within the 78231 zip code, about fifteen minutes from downtown San Antonio. A few major thoroughfares make up the borders of this neighborhood, including Blanco Road to the east. Wurzbach Parkway makes up the northern boundary to this area, as well as the Phil Hardberger Park. Northwest Military Highway acts as the western border and both Braesview and Vista View Streets intersect to create a winding southern boundary.

North Castle Hills is located in the North East Independent School District, one of 44 public school districts in San Antonio. Winston Churchill Senior High School is just outside of the southeastern corner of the area and is one of the country’s highest ranked high schools.
