Medina Valley is a very large community on the west side of San Antonio, Texas. The vast majority of this neighborhood is undeveloped land, but there are some residential areas throughout. It is situated south of FM 1957/Potranco Road, west of State Highway 1604, and north of Macdona Lacoste Road. U.S. Highway 90 and State Highway 211 traverse the neighborhood. The zip code here is 78252, and this neighborhood is part of Bexar County.

This side of San Antonio consists of mostly residential areas and undeveloped land, but enough shopping and dining options exist in the area to serve Medina Valley residents, especially along the nearby highways. For major shopping excursions, residents may frequent Westover Marketplace and Westlakes Shopping Center, both located within 10 miles to the east, along I-410.

Several other attractions are located less than 10 miles east of this community, including the Lackland Air Force Base, Palo Alto Community College, and Texas A&M University of San Antonio. Numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation can also be found in this area, including Millers Pond Park and Pearsall Park. The latter is one of the largest parks in the area and is currently undergoing significant renovations. Once completed, this park will include many scenic outlooks and landscaped greens, multiple athletic fields, nature trails, a Frisbee golf course, BMX course, dog park, playgrounds, and ponds.

For more to see and do, Medina Valley residents can continue on into the downtown area, host of the famous river walk area. Other prominent attractions in downtown San Antonio include the Alamodome (a popular event center and sporting arena), the University of Texas at San Antonio campus, Hemisfair Park, and several medical centers.
