Longs Creek is a neighborhood in San Antonio. The boundaries of this Texas community are Classen Road to the west, Walnut Creek Drive to the north, O’Connor Road to the east, and Friesenhahn Park to the south. The homes are mostly constructed of brick or stucco and are single-family detached structures with average-size yards. The streets have sidewalks, and there are plenty of medium-size trees. Public transportation is available.

Longs Creek Elementary School is located on O’Connor Road and educates neighborhood children in grades kindergarten through five. The schools has received a Great Schools rating of 7 out of 10 and is very highly rated by parents. James Madison High School is located just to the south of Friesenhahn Park and has been recognized by the Texas Education Association.

Friesenhahn Park is an 11-acre park with picnic tables. Paved trails are ideal for walking, jogging, or pushing a stroller. The park has abundant open grass areas as well. To the east, it runs right into Bryan McClain Park, named after a local student. It includes a very popular 18-hole disc golf course.

Nearby Semmes Library is a branch of the San Antonio Public Library. It has an excellent selection of activities for children and adults.

When it comes to grocery shopping, there are several local markets within or close to the neighborhood and an HEB a short drive south on O’Connor Road. Rolling Oaks Mall is just a short drive from Longs Creek and has 100 upscale shops.

Longs Creek is an attractive neighborhood located conveniently northeast of downtown San Antonio.
