Located on the northwestern edge of the developed San Antonio area, Hunter’s Chase is a suburban dream, located near undeveloped forests and hills, but still close to a major Texas metropolitan area. Set apart from most commercial development, this residential neighborhood boasts large houses and plenty of trees on spacious lots.

Houses in the area are primarily shingle-style construction made out of red brick or white stone. Stick-style houses are intermingled with these traditional, American designs. There is a good mix between one and two-story houses and all have plenty of yard space.

Running north to south, Woller Road makes up the western boundary line for Hunter’s Chase which lies in the 78249 zip code. Its northern boundary follows Echo Glade a block to the south and stops a block shy of Huntsman Road. The eastern boundary follows this border a block from Huntsman along the curve of Bluestone Road and stops where the two roads intersect. The houses constructed along Tantivity act as the southern border, separating the area just north of Corian Park Drive, near the Hunter’s Chase II community pool facility.

This neighborhood is not ideal for those who use bicycles or walking as their primary modes of transportation, because it isn’t close to retail amenities. However, due to the lack of through traffic, Hunter’s Chase is ideal for those who like to cycle or walk for recreation.

Northside Independent School District built two schools in the area, Brandeis High School and Stinson Middle School, both situated in the southwestern corner of the neighborhood. Also in this area is the John Igo Branch Library, within the San Antonio public library system. Offering a play space and recreational facilities, Bonnie Corner Park is also located near the schools, perfect for picnics or recreational sports.
