Positioned in the northwest sector of San Antonio lies the beautiful tree-laden neighborhood of Country View. As is typical of many San Antonio neighborhoods, the homes in Country View are spaced closely together. Many of the road names within the community begin with the word “Country.” Residents of the sidewalk community enjoy the convenience of public transportation with several bus stops located within the neighborhood.

Country View is located in Bexar County and is encompassed by the 78240 zip code. The neighborhood is positioned between Texas Highway Loop 1604 and I-410, giving residents easy access to San Antonio perimeter routes. Downtown San Antonio is a 15 mile drive southeast of the neighborhood and is easily accessible by way of nearby I-10.

Bordering the west side of the neighborhood is one of the many area parks, Leon Creek Greenway Park. A favorite among hikers and bikers, visitors enjoy miles of wide concrete walking trails as well as short bike trail legs throughout the park. Visitors rave about the beauty of the scenic park and it’s rolling hills. The park is also dog friendly with care stations located throughout. Behind Leon Creek Greenway Park is Schnabel Park. YMCA buildings, restroom, pavilions, a basketball court, ball fields and a pool are among the amenities at Schnabel Park.

The University of Texas at San Antonio and the ITT Technical Institute are conveniently located within 3 miles of the neighborhood.

Country View’s nearest mall, “The Shops at La Cantera,” is a local favorite. The fancy outdoor mall contains over 140 shops and restaurants. AMC, Regal Cinemas and University Bowl are other local entertainment spots. Those who enjoy hunting and fishing activities may enjoy the nearby San Antonio Target Hunting and Fishing Club.
