Brookside Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Brookside is one of the larger neighborhoods in Tulsa and has something for everyone. The southern border of this Oklahoma community is 51st Street/Interstate 44 or, as it is better known, the famous Route 66. The western border is the Arkansas River and extends to Lewis Avenue on the east. The northern border is 41st Street.
Everything a resident might want is on Peoria Street, which runs north and south in the middle of this neighborhood. There are restaurants, trendy shopping experiences, and cultural exhibits. There are also all the favorite big-box stores that residents have come to expect. In the northern part of the Brookside neighborhood is Zink Park. It borders Crow Creek and has lit tennis courts, a sports field, and a water playground for children. In the southern portion of this neighborhood is Hawthorne Park.
Brookside residents have the best of both worlds. There are a multitude of bike paths throughout the area to enjoy. The Tulsa Transit System provides services to Brookside and all the surrounding parts of the city. It is just a short trip to the Arkansas River parks, where residents can enjoy walking and biking paths.
The community has a mix of single-family homes and multi-unit dwellings. There are churches for every denomination, and the area is home to two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school.
Brookside might just be one of the best parts of Tulsa since it is close to the downtown area of the city but is a complete community in itself.
