The Springlake area of Oklahoma City is located between Northeast 50th Street, North Eastern Avenue, Northeast 36th Street, and North Kelley Avenue. This area of Oklahoma City is conveniently located near both Interstates 35 and 235, and can be found within zip code 73111.

This area was once known as having one of the largest amusement parks in the area. The Springlake Amusement Park, established in 1922, was open to both swimmers and families picnicking. The park was soon expanded to include many rides and a ballroom. It was extremely popular throughout the 1950s and 1960s, attracting top entertainers like Johnny Cash, The Righteous Brothers, Roy Acuff, and Conway Twitty. The property was purchased in 1981 by the Oklahoma City Vo-Tech Board, and Metro Technology Center was constructed on the site.

One of the main campuses of Metro Technology Center is a only a few blocks from Springlake. Metro Tech is a popular career and technology education center with five campuses all located in the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The school offers both training and career programs to high school students, adults, and businesses.

Another well-known school in the area is the Metro Area Vocational College. The school, which is located near Springlake in District 22, provides culinary arts and chef training classes.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is located minutes from Springlake on North Prospect Avenue and Staton Drive.

Springlake Park, Perry Park, Phillips Park, Oklahoma City Zoological Park, Pitts Park, and the huge Lincoln Park can all be found within blocks of Springlake. Those parks are filled with playgrounds, golf areas, and walking trails.
