For those more interested in fishing and boating, Lake Stanley Draper is four miles to the east of the Shadow Wood/Shadow Wood North neighborhood. Sailing and waterskiing are allowed, although swimming is not. Adding a picnic lunch under the shelters makes it an enjoyable day at the lake.
