Kingscreek is a quiet suburban neighborhood in southwest Oklahoma City. It is located on Southwest 119th Street between Pennsylvania and May Avenues. Due to light commercialization, Kingscreek feels secluded and suburban but is still convenient to many amenities such as churches, restaurants, fast food, and convenience stores. A few miles north on Pennsylvania Avenue, the I-240 shopping area is booming with big-box national chain developments. A little further to the east, the bedroom community of Moore is also developing major commercial corridors along I-35.
Kingscreek mostly features new construction single-family homes, but there are some apartment complexes nearby as well. Families with children will be a part of Moore Public Schools, a quality suburban district. Fisher Elementary is located within walking distance to Kingscreek. Brink Junior High School and Westmoore High are only about a two-mile drive.
About a half mile west of Kingscreek, the neighborhood’s greatest asset is the beautiful Earlywine Park and all of its recreational opportunities. One of the largest parks in the Oklahoma City Park system, Earlywine features a beautiful full golf course, a family aquatic center, tennis and soccer facilities, and playgrounds. It also is the starting point for the five-mile Earlywine Trail which will eventually connect to the greater trail network of Oklahoma City. An on-site YMCA is another opportunity for community interaction and activities at Earlywine Park.
Other activity nodes in southwest Oklahoma City surrounding Kingscreek include Mid-America Christian University, Oklahoma City Community College, and Will Rogers World Airport. I-44 provides automobile access into downtown or northwest Oklahoma City, and I-35 is only about four miles away, which leads to Oklahoma City or south to Norman and the University of Oklahoma.
Kingscreek is a nice, mostly residential bedroom community in south Oklahoma City that is positioned well to take advantage of the fantastic Earlywine Park and Moore Public School District, making it ideal for families with children.
