At Earlywine, there are two separate 18 hole golf courses. The Lakes Course offers lake and pond views as well as water features, and the North Course offers challenging terrain. Both provide an affordable day of golf. Earlywine also offers practice facilities, a driving range, a golf shop, and better than average dining. The golf courses are located in Earlywine Park, which is also the home to the Earlywine Aquatic Center. This seasonal attraction has a pool and a variety of other water features including slides and a large mushroom water curtain. In addition, the park has a playground, tennis courts and walking trails.

Mid America Christian University is located just slightly north of Eagle Ridge South. It offers both 2 and four year degrees in a variety of areas. There are degrees available in religious disciplines but also in the arts and sciences. There are both undergraduate and graduate degrees offered. They also have courses for working adults.
