Mixed in with the residential structures there are commercial buildings. It is a neighborhood with an eclectic mix of styles. There is public bus transit on the major streets in the neighborhood.
In August, the annual Weinland Park Festival takes places from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Weinland Park playground. This is a time to get to meet the neighbors while sharing food, entertainment and good times.
Northside Library is located on North High Street. It offers special programs for children, teens and adults. Weinland Park provides residents with almost four acres of outdoor space. The park has a playground, picnic tables and basketball courts. When residents want to go food shopping, the nearest grocery store is Kroger’s on North High Street.
