To the north of downtown Columbus and just north of Interstate 270 is the neighborhood of Pocono. It is a stately neighborhood of medium- to large-size homes on tree-lined streets. The average listing price for a home in Pocono is around $180,000.

Some of the schools in the area include Gables Elementary School, Daniel Wright Elementary School, Worthington Kilbourne High School, and The Goddard School. Colleges and Universities nearby are The Pontifical College Josephinum, Ashland University, and, of course, The Ohio State University.

For family fun, Pocono residents can visit the United Skates of America Roller Skating Center, Dave and Buster’s, or Magic Mountain Fun Center. They can also catch a first-run flick at Marcus Crosswoods UltraScreen Cinema, Rave Motion Pictures Polaris 18, or AMC Dublin Village 18.

For live entertainment, off-Broadway theater, opera, and ballet, downtown Columbus has an entertainment district. The Palace Theatre, Ohio Theatre, Southern Theatre, Capitol Theatre Riffe Center, and the Lincoln Theatre are all within easy walking distance of each other.
