Old Beechwold, in Columbus, Ohio, is bounded by Weisheimer Road to the south, North High Street to the east, Rathbone Road to the north, and The Olentangy River to the west. Old Beechwold is the original site of the Columbus Zoo and Amusement park, which opened in 1905. The Park lasted only a short while and then became the Old Beechwold subdivision.

Old Beechwold is made up of homes built mainly from the 1900s through the 1930s for families with more means than the average. The homes remained updated and cared for over the years and retain their original charm. The current prices for homes are above the median and most of the homes are updated and very well cared for.

Old Beechwold is a quiet neighborhood. There are no through streets in Old Beechwold, so traffic is at a minimum. The mature trees and shrubs give shade and a buffer zone between the residents of Old Beechwold and the traffic noise: the sounds through the window are kids playing and birds singing in Old Beechwold.

Old Beechwold is close to everything. Graceland Shopping Center is just a few blocks north on High Street. Just farther north is Downtown Worthington, with restaurants, storefronts, and pubs. Interstate 71 is just 3 minutes east of Old Beechwold and North High Street is the main north-south arterial road in the center city.

There are several parks in the area. Delawanda Park is north two blocks on the Olentanty River, with soccer fields and green spaces, and room to fish. South on North High Street is The Whetstone Park of Roses and Recreation center with baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and basketball diamonds as well as classes and activities in the recreation center.
